Dear Members,

At last night’s General Meeting, the delightful Stan Slovin from Wells Fargo Advisors presented about the current economic climate and assuaged some fears about market conditions and taxation. He encouraged members to do our own financial housekeeping (reviewing beneficiaries, checking that assets are titled properly, updating wills, etc.) and (if we haven’t already) begin to discuss estate topics with our children or grandchildren. Thank you, Stan!

Speaking of housekeeping, the Twin Maples Estate Sale not only initiated spring decluttering efforts but it also raised $3,500.00 for the Fortnightly Club.  A huge THANK YOU to Co-Chairs Eileen Rath, Kim Quarles, the Estate Sale Committee and the entire club membership. The Twin Maples Estate Sale was a success and a lot of FUN. The club is grateful to all who donated items, assisted, and volunteered for this fundraising event.
