Dear Friends,
I hope everyone had a peaceful and pleasant Thanksgiving. While the rain may have foiled outdoor activities hopefully, some cozy parade viewing and time with loved ones sufficed.
To continue the spirit of giving and gratitude, please consider volunteering next week and weekend for the Fortnightly Club's new "Santa at Twin Maples" event. The Fortnightly Club's life-sized Nutcracker will be positioned at the front doors to welcome local families and friends into historic Twin Maples. The celebration begins inside with Santa, stories, songs, cocoa, cookies, photos, and breakfast!Â
Upon review, we still need volunteers for the following positions:
Saturday, 12/7
Elf Helper from 11am-2:15pm (1 Volunteer Needed)
Cleaner-Upper Elves from 2:30-3:30pm (3 Volunteers Needed)
Sunday, 12/8Â
Kitchen Elf from 9-11am (1 Volunteer Needed)
Kitchen Elf from 11am-1pm (1 Volunteer Needed)

Cleaner-Upper Elves from 2:30-4:30pm (2 Volunteers Needed
*Photographer from 11:15am-2pm on Sunday (1 Volunteer Needed - Please email Liese Kant at lkantlf@aol.com to sign up for this position, as it requires comfortability taking portrait type photos using guests' cell phones).
Please sign up for these positions on the Sign-up Genius. Additionally, you can sign up to help on both days, if you'd like!Â
If you're unable to help for the actual event, please come on either (or both) days this week to decorate. All hands-on deck to decorate on Monday, 12/2 from 10am-1pm (the Sign-up Genius indicates 9-5pm, but unless you've made arrangements with Liese Kant, please plan to come between 10am-1pm) and set-up on Friday, 12/6 from 2-5pm. If the slots for these dates are full on the Sign-up Genius please just show up and look for the Elf named, Liese, who will share with you what needs to be done!Â
This is going to be a huge event and we look forward to seeing you next weekend. Your help and support will make this a fun and successful experience for all! Thank you in advance.
Warmly,
Heather Althoff
President, The Fortnightly Club of Summit
